Meet Mrs. Csercsevits (formally Devine) ...        

           Welcome! I teach 3rd grade at Pine Road School. Allow me to share some of my educational background with you. I graduated from LaSalle University with undergraduate degrees in both Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education K-12. I received a Masters Degree in School Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and I am a certified K-12 School Counselor. As you can see from my varied educational background, I am not only committed to continual professional learning, but to the education of the whole child as well.

        I can't believe this will be my 21st year teaching at Pine Road! I began my career teaching second grade. Nine years ago, I welcomed the opportunity to switch to Kindergarten. This is my fourth year teaching third grade. As I reflect on my teaching experiences, I can honestly say that I have learned so much about this profession from every child I have taught. My philosophy of teaching is a steadfast pledge to meet each student's needs academically, emotionally, and socially. In addition, I strive to have each of my students believe they are successful as a learner.

          By using the word teacher as "facilitator," we use our classroom as a platform for continuous learning across multiple areas. We emphasize academic progress and personal responsibility. Issues of conflict resolution and character development are crucial as well as traditional academics for overall student success. Every attempt is made to fill the classroom with happy, well-adjusted children who are eager to learn!  I am confident that a "team approach" between home and school is the best way to ensure your child's success. Your support is essential in this process. I am excited to meet you and your child!
