My name is Susan Grugan, and I teach language arts at Pine Road Elementary. I grew up in Lower Moreland, and love that I am back at Pine Road.  I have very fond memories of my elementary years. I attended Pine Road, Red Lion School, Murray Avenue, and graduated from our wonderful high school. After high school, I went on to receive my Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. I worked primarily on medical-surgical and critical care units.

After having children, I became a School Nurse Practioner, working in an elementary school and a high school. It was through my school nursing experiences that I made the decision to become a teacher.

I earned my Masters of Education in 1998. Upon finishing my practicum in Lower Moreland, I was  hired to teach fourth grade at Murray Avenue. It is hard to believe this is my 23rd year in fourth grade. I am truly fortunate to have come full circle, and returned to Pine Road where my education began. I am looking forward to another wonderful year in fourth grade.
