All About Mrs. Smith

I grew up in Huntingdon Valley and attended Lower Moreland School district kindergarten through twelfth grade. After high school, I became a Penn Stater and a huge college football fan!  I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kindergarten and Elementary Education.  I also completed a Master of Education degree specializing in Reading from Arcadia University.   My teaching career began in Raleigh, North Carolina where I taught in Wake County Public Schools System for 5 1/2 years. My husband and I enjoyed living in Raleigh and in Chapel Hill. It was in NC, we became Carolina Basketball fans.   After working at working at Wake County Public Schools, my husband I moved back to the Philadelphia area and I started teaching at Pine Road.     On a personal note, my husband, Jim and I , have three wonderful children. We have a very active home with the three children.  Our children are either busy playing soccer, playing football, running, swimming or skiing. We live in Bucks County and love living near so many parks.  On my free time, I enjoy jogging behind our house on the Delaware Canal and doing some road races.  In the winter, we love to ski!  We travel up to the Vermont or the Poconos and spend time skiing together as a family.   I hope you learned a little bit about me, and I cannot wait to get to know you!
