About Mrs. Winters
About Mrs. Winters Hello parents and students, I am eager to begin working with you and your child this year in mathematics. I am looking forward to an academically challenging and successful year. Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in New York City and earned my Bachelors Degree in Statistical Mathematics and Quantitative Analysis from the City University of New York. I moved to Pennsylvania and received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Arcadia University. I am also a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. The 2022-2023 school year will be my 25th year teaching in the great district of Lower Moreland. I am very passionate about mathematics. I enjoy creating challenging activities and opportunities for my students to use critical-thinking skills, solve problems, grow mathematically and have successful learning experiences daily. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Daniel, for 30 years. We have three amazing young adult sons, Daniel Jr, Andre, and Michael, two of whom are in the United States Marine Corps, and we have two beautiful daughters, Hana and Malia, ages 17 and 13, who we adopted from the country of Ethiopia in 2010. I enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, and supporting and participating in humanitarian efforts for children in need, both domestically and abroad.
